The 45th Annual NC Oyster Festival Returns to Ocean Isle Beach

If you’re looking for a fun fall day trip during your Grand Strand vacation, the 45th Annual NC Oyster Festival is worth adding to your calendar. Taking place October 17–18, 2026, in Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina, the festival celebrates coastal food, live music, arts, crafts, and family-friendly entertainment.

A special Community Night Kick-Off will also take place on October 16.

Community Night Kick-Off

The festivities begin with a free community celebration on October 16 from 6:00–8:00 PM, with gates opening at 4:30 PM.

The evening includes a flag-raising ceremony, Honor Guard, National Anthem, ribbon-cutting, and the unveiling of the official festival artwork and T-shirt. Guests can also enjoy live music from The Sea-Cruz Band.

A Weekend Full of Coastal Fun

Festival weekend features something for everyone. Browse arts and crafts, handmade jewelry, woodcrafts, holiday décor, and local vendors while enjoying live music ranging from country and rock to R&B and beach music.

Of course, oysters are the star of the show. Don’t miss the Oyster Shucking Contest, cooking competitions, fresh seafood, food trucks, and regional restaurant vendors.

Families can also enjoy kids’ activities and interactive workshops throughout the weekend.
